I was riding my bike along the sidewalk, and I saw this crumpled piece of paper in the grass at the side of the road.

I found this as I was cleaning out a house after an estate sale. I’ve seen a couple of cool things at these but this is my favorite so far. On the back of the photo it reads “Thats the way the Krauts surrendered to us, as demonstrated by ‘Yank’ Dennison and ‘Kraut’ Thrueatt, Penn.& Alabama respectively.-(That thing was loaded!), Tangerhütte, Germany” They look pretty relaxed. After having the Germans surrender they must have had some free time.

This young man clearly suffers from “nice guy” syndrome, and is driven to leave notes promoting his own worthiness for any girl who might come along. I’m particularly heart-broken by the passage at the end, in which he says he doesn’t believe in abusing girls.
