There’s a used furniture place under a railway bridge near my house. When I went to buy a desk, the shop was closed. So I had a look around the car park out the front and found this picture amongst the stones. She looks strong and confident.
I found this old letter a while ago while searching through old recipes. Since there’s no date on this letter, it’s hard to tell when he wrote it. It’s also funny because, since he wrote it on the last day (not considering how long the mail takes), I know he didn’t write that letter because he wanted to be picked up (otherwise he’d have written it sooner).
This poster appeared on a pole outside my house one night. There were no others like it in the neighborhood, or posted at any stores nearby. I can’t imagine how someone lost a cat pulling a wagon with balloons.

I found this trampled and weather worn note on Eastlake Avenue on my way home from a friend’s house one night. It seems so earnest and helpful– like the kid who wrote it was concerned for the neighborhood’s safety.
I found this Polaroid face down in the trunk of a car at the junk yard while looking for some parts. When I turned it over, all I could think was LOOK AT THAT HAIR! I graduated in 1984 and it appears that they went to the prom four years later and I wondered how we even thought that big hair was cool. No, I did not find the parts I was looking for; but, I got this fine photo.
