Dear Poops

FOUND by Rachel Robinson in New York City, New York

While browsing through the selections at the Strand bookstore I found this note stuck in the front cover of “The Complete Lyrics of Noel Coward.” The envelope, addressed to John, was yellowed with age and had never been opened. Joan’s message is filled with love and devotion. Why then did John give away the book without ever having opened her note?

I forget where I found this sticker, but I doubt it was on what it was supposed to be on. I just can’t imagine who thinks 10% is good enough, or why anyone would want to bother to tell you about their substandard checking skills.

I Gotta Find a New Bag

I found this scrap of paper in the halls of Drake High. To me it epitomizes the kind of note that is passed around during class. This scrap also reflects what (sadly) might be the important thing in a Marin girl’s life (“i gotta find a new bag… otherwise im doing alright”).

The Telephone in Evone’s Bedroom

FOUND by Kat in New Mexico

I was in a thrift store when I found this (though the stationary is from Amarillo, Texas). It’s kind of a random list. She lists cologne, bath powder, night gowns and the phone in her bedroom, but then random Willie Nelson 8-track tapes are mentioned, as well as a fountain for the back yard. Kinky much??
