I found this at an ATM in Athens. I hope the loss of the list doesn’t interfere with anyone’s life improvement plans.

I was sitting in a bank waiting for someone. I’d already read the newspaper and all they had left were children’s books. After reading a children’s book about a train, I picked up a notebook and began looking through it. There were pictures of rainbows and flowers and houses, and a child named Kavin decided to write his name in at least half the notebook. Then I came across a drawing, most likely a contribution from Kavin.

I had TWO teeth pulled today. I found this little note folded up on the grass in front of my house when I came home (with my face swollen and achy). Finding this note has taken away most of my gum pain… it’s a small gem. And hmmm… what exactly WAS the misunderstanding on the phone(???!)

I found this photograph on the street last autumn. It’s probably one of the most hauntingly beautiful images I’ve seen in my life. I don’t know who the boy is or how the photo found its way onto the street in front of my house, but I knew it would be perfect to send in.

I got this back with a roll of film I had developed which wasn’t on my negatives. There is something very sad and lonely about how the teddy bear stares at those grey socks hanging there in front of that bare wall. It’s as if the socks are the first bit of excitement he’s seen in a long while.
