FOUND by Ben in Chicago, Illinois

My friend Justin and I found this Post-it when cleaning off the desk of a recently fired co-worker. The circumstances of her leaving were dubious and she was kind of a mystery herself, so this became all the more curious a message to us. I promptly taped it to my desk where it’s been the last year or so.

Who Gave You the Right?

whogaveyoutheright

FOUND by Camille Lewis in Taylors, South Carolina

Found in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The author was evidently galvanized enough to write the note but not so courageous as to initiate a face-to-face confrontation. Lots of phrases could be used for this find, of course… “Have some respect” at least captures the writer’s motivating emotion. But then again, so does the indignation of his “Who gave you the right?”

We Are Nighttime Travelers Tour

WeAreNighttimeTravellers

To celebrate the release of his book of short stories, “The Lone Surfer of Montana, Kansas,” Davy is headed to 28 cities for a series of lively events. He’ll be joined on the road by two of his all-time favorite finds: his little brother Peter – international heartthrob and frontman for The Poem Adept – and Charlottesville, Virginia, folk prodigy Devon Sproule. At each stop, Davy will read a story and share some of the newest amazing finds that have landed at Found Magazine headquarters, and Peter and Devon will each play a few songs. Come out and join the madness – and bring your finds along! More info coming soon at 21balloons.com.
